Mrs. Annie Deng
Hello everyone! My name is Mrs Annie, the director of the Reach Montessori Preschool. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) from East China University. I am bilingual, speak Mandarin and English.
When I came to the United States, I continued my studies in ECE at San Jose City College. I later received my Montessori Certification from the National Center for Montessori Education in 2003. It is my pleasure to be the Director of Reach Montessori Preschool after twenty years I teach in Montessori field.
I sincerely enjoy working here with all the wonderful children and teachers. I have always had a passion for teaching and working with young children.
When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family. In my spare time, I also like gardening, travelling and relaxing while watching movies.
Hello! My name is Katherine Manaog. I was born and raised in the Philippines. I have a Bachelor Degree in Management from University of Asia & the Pacific in Manila, Philippines and 2nd Bachelor Degree in Animation from Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I also had a Professional Teaching Certificate in the Philippines. Currently, I’m in the process of getting my Montessori Certificate at Montessori Teacher Education Center.
The Montessori teaching has been part of my life both as a student and as a teacher in the Philippines. I studied at O.B. Montessori Centre from preschool to high school then after college I worked as a head teacher for ages 2-4 years old at Scuola Montessori for 6 years. I’ve also volunteered in our church as a Kids Church teacher. I really enjoy being with children. It always fascinates me to see how much information they can gather and comprehend as well as the uniqueness of each child. It has always been a joy and privilege to help children in their development.
During my free time, I like to go hiking, snorkeling, or any outdoor activities with my friends. I also enjoy watching movies, drawing and painting.
Ms. Marcela Buenrostro
My name is Marcela Buenrostro. I was born in San Jose, California. I speak English and Spanish. I have 3 children, one boy and two girls.
I am a patient person who can work with children of all ages. I had chance to worked at Gloria Dei preschool for 2 years. I felt that this is the career for me because I enjoyed working with children. I currently study Early Child Education courses at San Jose City College. I also worked for the after-school program YMCA for a year. I enjoy reading books with children, doing fun art activities, making science experiments and helping with homework. I am thankful for the opportunity to work at Reach Montessori Preschool.
In my spare time, I like to ride my bike, listen to music, and exercise.
My name is Cristina Vergara. I speak English and Spanish. I have a bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education from Los Libertadores University of Colombia. I worked as a preschool and elementary teacher for 2 years where I taught human development and arts. I came to the United States of America as an Au Pair to improve my English. After my two year Au Pair program finished, I studied a Credential course of Montessori education at Montessori Teacher Education Center (MTEC).
I am a patient person who loves working with children of all ages. I am very enthusiastic and quick learner. I enjoy working with a team and like learn from team members. It is my pleasure to practice at a Montessori school and obtain a teaching certificate in Montessori Early Childhood Education. I feel very grateful for the opportunity to work at Reach Montessori Preschool to take care of your children and help them learn new skills everyday.
In my free time, I enjoy playing board games with friends. I like traveling around United States and visit the National parks. I have been to Hawaii, New York, Seattle, Portland and San Diego. When I am not traveling, I like reading books about romance and poetry.
Mrs. Ravinder Kaur
I am Ravinder Kaur. I grew up in New Delhi, the capital city of India. I got my Bachelor Degree of Arts from Delhi University. After that I completed a certificate course in computers. I moved to USA with my husband. My husband is a software engineer and we live in Evergreen area of San Jose. I am blessed with two boys. My elder son is in high school and younger son is in elementary school. I speak Hindi and English.
When I was a child, I always dreamt to be a teacher because my school years were the best years of my life. When my kids went to preschool and kindergarten, I felt that kids were learning in a very playful way. This experience made me go back to my dream of becoming a teacher. I have completed my Early childhood Education Teacher units from De Anza College. I have been a preschool and pre-k teacher for last two years at A plus Academy preschool in Sunnyvale. I really want to be a part of Reach Montessori and would love to help children develop their early childhood skills. As a teacher I would like to provide a healthy and playful environment for the children to grow.
